Beautiful Myths

Fractured fables and mythic mash-ups are featured in the new short story collection, Fairy Tales Punk’d. Thirteen international authors have taken fairy tale and myths from a variety of traditions and reinterpreted them in one of the ‘punk’ genres, including Steampunk, Dieselpunk, Cyberpunk, and Raypunk.
My story Wound is a reimagining of the famous fairy tale Sleeping Beauty. It is a story of love, lust, loss and jealousy, set in a Clockpunk world of gears, cogs and intricate inventions.
Each story in the collection will be accompanied by a stunning illustration. The beautiful image based on my story, drawn by Nathan Lueth, can be seen here. Keep an eye on my Facebook and Twitter accounts over the coming month for previews of the other stories and their illustrations.
The Fairy Tales Punk’d Kickstarter campaign is running until 19 October 2020 and you can order the book in paperback and electronic formats. Early bird deals are available until 27 September 2020, including reduced prices and bonus stories. A selection of great add-on items and additional books are also available as part of the campaign.
