Sherlock Holmes A Year of Mystery 1883 - Cover

Watson finds himself investigating alone, and an earthquake uncovers mysteries old and new, as the popular Sherlock Holmes: A Year of Mystery series from Belanger Books returns to chronicle adventures set in 1883 and 1884.

As with the first two volumes, the collections each include a story for every month of the year. In my adventure set in April 1883, Holmes fails to return home to Baker Street, leading Watson to set off in search of The Missing Detective. It is a case that will test all the investigative skills he has learnt in the past two years, and make him question how much he really knows about Sherlock Holmes.

The collections are being launched through Kickstarter, and the campaign has already passed its initial target. However, if the campaign reaches its stretch goals, extra bonus stories will be added, including another of mine. Set one year after my previous story, this adventure takes place in the aftermath of the Colchester Earthquake of 1884. The most destructive quake ever to strike the UK, it devastated towns and villages across Suffolk and was even felt in London. In the wake of this tragedy, Holmes and Watson go to investigate a robbery, only to be drawn into the mystery of The Manningtree Mermaid.

The new A Year of Mystery volumes (as well as the previous books in the series) are available on Kickstarter in ebook, paperback, and hardback formats. The campaign runs until 1 October 2022 and can be found at https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/belangerbooks/sherlock-holmes-a-year-of-mystery-1883-and-1884/. Please back it today, to help reach the stretch goals and ensure that you get to read all these exciting new early adventures for Holmes and Watson.
